At Docselect we cover a wide range of conditions just like your NHS GP. We are happy to see those urgent issues which need a same day review or those worries or concerns that may have been niggling for a while. We are however unable to treat the following conditions:
Yes, you can book appointments for children under 16. Here at DocSelect we recognise how stressful it can be to get to your GP when your child is sick. That’s why we can come to you. The first appointment must be a face-to-face consultation. After that, if the clinician is satisfied, subsequent appointments may be conducted remotely via online consultations. All appointments for children under 16 must be booked using an adult's account and made by the adult
If necessary your DocSelect GP can issue a course of treatment electronically, which can be collected at your local dispensary or delivered to your home within 24 hours. All treatments issued are private, and these do carry a charge which varies. This charge will need to be paid on collection.
We use in built video technology to allow virtual communication during consultations
You can book follow-up appointments directly through the app with your chosen GP. Remember with DocSelect you are in control.
Yes absolutely. If the clinician feels it is appropriate to see a specialist then we can arrange this for you. This can either be a private referral or a referral into an NHS service depending on your preference.
Certainly. If the clinician feels you need further investigations we can help organise blood tests and scans and will be available to follow these up with you
DocSelect takes patient satisfaction and patient safety very seriously. If you have not been satisfied with your consultation or you have any feedback then please contact us.
In some situations, we may need to decline a consultation request. This could be because emergency care is required, for instance, if you are experiencing symptoms like chest pain or shortness of breath, which are best addressed in A&E. Whilst DocSelect can address a broad range of issues similar to your NHS GP, we may also decline a request if an intimate examination is anticipated. If your request for a consultation has been rejected you will be alerted via the app.
We take your privacy seriously. Your data is handled in accordance with strict data protection regulations GDPR, HIPPA and NHS DSPT
